What’s best, tablet salt or block salt?

Fundamentally, there is no difference between tablet salt and block salt. They are interchangeable and either can be used in your current water softener as part of the regeneration process. They are both consumed at the same rate.

Whereas tablet salt is slightly cheaper than block salt, the bags of tablet salt can be heavier to lug about. So, it really comes down to personal preference as to what you see as being most convenient.
